In a video posted tothesite,Dr. Jennifer Rubin, aPharmacy ConsultantatThe Independent Clinic, explains how a hair loss medication can improve hair growth. "For some women, the treatment can be very effective, but for others, it can be quite expensive."
According toRubin,"There is a need for more affordable options to help with hair loss. There are several available to buy, including Propecia, Minoxidil, Finasteride, and others."
Hair loss can affect people of all ages and backgrounds. It is possible for an individual to develop and sustain a thinning hairline while taking Propecia, Minoxidil, and finasteride. But the condition may not be controlled, and a hair loss medication is still the only option.
Jennifer Rubin, a hair loss specialist at the, is one of the most popular hair loss treatments for women. "Women with male pattern baldness often have a condition called androgenetic alopecia, which is when the hair follicles shrink and stop growing again. This happens when the hair follicles stop growing and start becoming thinner. For some women, the treatment can be extremely effective, but for others, it can be quite expensive."
Rubin explains that "For women, it is very common to lose at least 5% to 10% of a woman's hair after the age of 25 years of age."
And Dr. Rubin adds, "The most effective treatment for hair loss is finasteride, which works by inhibiting the conversion of testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which is a hormone linked to hair loss."
Rubin explains that "Finasteride is a popular treatment for hair loss. It is available over the counter and at a much lower price."
Rubin adds that "Finasteride is an effective hair loss treatment for many women with male pattern baldness. It is not a cure for hair loss, but it is an effective treatment for women with female pattern baldness."
